Ben Carson is an American Neurosurgeon who was born on 18 September 1951.
Ben Carson had trouble early on his life, falling behind in school and eventually landing at the bottom of his class. Good parenting by his single mother turned Carson’s life around when she began focusing on him and his studies.
Her hard work and perseverance paid off for Carson as Carson began to realize that he wasn’t stupid. In fact, quite the contrary, he was incredibly gifted.

Carson attended Yale University, where he earned a degree in Psychology.
Carson attended Medical School of the University of Michigan, where he focused on neurosurgery.
At the age of 33, he became the hospital's professor and director of Pediatric Neurosurgery.
In 2002 Carson was diagnosed with prostate cancer, but fortunately the cancer was caught in time.
